Concrete kits was put together to show a more "functional" kit that is conducive to the weather we are experiencing here in Houston right now. There are a lot of great kits out in the blogosphere these days, but I really wanted to put together a bit of a more casual kit that you could just throw on and be comfortable in, especially in this humidity.

I found these the week before the devastating tragedy in Japan at an outlet here in Houston, and have been wearing them ever since. I personalized these beauties by cutting out the Vans label as well as blacking out the back to give them a really minimal/clean look. I also added workwear laces for contrast. All in all, these shoes are amazing as is and since they were built for surfers they are super breathable as well as extremely comfortable. Perfect for summer...when I prefer to go sockless.
