The Westheimer Movement: MORTAR

Dear Houston,

PLEASE TAKE NOTES. 'Ye has his Movement, and I believe we may finally have OURS. Westheimer continues to validate itself as the "HUB" for Houston fashion (don't get it twisted, I said HOUSTON) with it's latest shop located next to the Firkin & Phoenix. Mortar is a Men's boutique which finally gives men their own shopping experience separate from the ladies. For me, what separates this shop from many of the stores geared towards men is the uncompromised customer service you receive when you come through the doors. What I mean to say is at no point during my shopping experience did I feel like a ghost nor did I ever have the sudden urge to fend off the sales associates with a stick (ie Nordstroms). Not only was the customer service up to par, but the expertise, the advice, and the knowledge the associates displayed about the products they carried, in essence gave me the sense that they stood by each and every product they sold. Last but certainly not the least, their products. Having an affinity for "quality" made products I was floored by the selection of quality made goods they carried from BillyKirk, Houston's 1883 Hamiliton (Ready-to-Wear), Randolph Engineering, to a vast selection of premium selvedge jeans, the list goes on and on.

All in all, Mortar is just a rad shop with down to earth people, like co-owner Carly Webster, that's reminiscent of some of the amazing stores found up and down the east and west coast. So if you haven't had the chance to drop by I strongly urge you to...Mortar definitely won't dissappoint!

Sincerely,

AFS
