I posted this last picture in October and alas, my dreams have finally come to fruition! Yuketen's newest colorway of the Maine Guide Boot (Loden Green) is absolute fire. Not only did they make another great shoe, but they definitely exceeded my expectations (the contrast of the brown and green leather is stunning). My only wish is that the good dudes over at Yuketen make this boot into either a low or midtop for the warmer climates, like here in Houston. Yuketen shoes go hard and the brand is making some major moves in 2011. This specific shoe continue to grow on me and would be super functional in the Midwest or East Coast right about now.

Yuketen footwear is the work of Yuki Matsuda. Calling upon his team of craftsmen they make of the most highly regarded ranges of shoes out there. Made in the USA, they have a commitment to quality, making like they used to be made. Expect fantastic leathers and build.

Based on 1920s old American hunting club boots, Yuketen shoes maintain the durability and function of the classic shoes with further reinforcement, literally. The boots feature a 100% rubber sole like most hunting boots to avoid slippage in snowy/icy conditions and prevent any noise when walking, but are double enforced for even further function in urban areas. A lower version of the classic hunting boot boot made using American full grain leather with hand stitched moccasin toe. This is then lined with a softer leather for comfort. The sole unit is a gun crepe sole unit and they're Made in the USA. These joints are simply beautiful, it's like walking on plush carpet for pete's sake!
